I am Walker Thomes, I'm a junior at Minnetonka High School and I'm in the VANTAGE strand Digital Journalism (DJ). I choose Digital Journalism because I am very passionate about film production and I would like to better learn and understand the art of film production. I also believe that DJ is a great way to learn social skills and better understand how the media side of the professional world works. The VANTAGE program has helped me prepare for professional situations and how to use strategic planning. 

I like to involve myself in as many activities/ sports but my main sport is basketball, basketball has been a big part of my life growing up my dad and brother also grew up playing basketball so that’s something we’ve always been able to bond about. I also take a high interest in movies, because of this I’ve joined the film club at Minnetonka. This is also another reason why I wanted to be apart of Digital Journalism so I can better appreciate the art behind film making.
