I am Ian Henschel, junior at Minnetonka high school. I am also in the Digital Journalism VANTAGE strand. I choose this strand because I have an interest in global and local current events. I enjoy the use of real world skills and strategies in our partner projects, and the opportunity to work with your mentor is very exciting. My mentor has years of experience in the journalism field, and I am eager to get advice and learn from a professional.
I value current events, locally and internationally. I think it is important to constantly be learning and furthering understanding of current topics. I also value the professionalism of vantage. Using real world skills and working with businesses in class is great preparation for the journalism industry.
