Hello, I am Jasmine, a junior at MHS and a VANTAGE Digital Journalism student. I am very privileged to have a mentor who will be providing me feedback and advice throughout my time in DJ. Also, interacting with my peers in more professional and collaborative process is a strange yet crucial process for me because I am developing important new skills that I can apply in my future.

I embrace the creative freedom that is offered in these courses and it is important to me that everyone can have a space where their ideas can be heard. When I signed up for VANTAGE DJ, I did so thinking that I would enjoy the writing more than the production, but taking these courses has helped me discover my passion in filmmaking. Now, I am considering pursuing a path in film to offer a new perspective on the world. I am a former competitive figure skater and I love music. I play the piano and I am currently learning the guitar.
