enjoy songwriting and singing in my spare time, I also play rugby and basketball!

Lizzo is a singer, songwriter, rapper, and flutist. She was born in Detroit,
Michigan before moving to Houston, Texas. In Houston, lizzo began performing and after her fathers death, she moved to Minneapolis when she was 23. While in Minneapolis she worked with various soul/pop and rap/r&b groups. It was here that she began recording her own music. Later, she was recognized through local awards before her music became more popular and she was nominated for national awards or nominations. Now, she is a well known artist and an advocate for body positive and self confidence.
Lizzo was born in Detroit, but after the death of her father in 2010 she moved to Minnesota where she immersed herself in the local music scene. She first started a group called The Chalice with Sophia Eris, and Clair De Lune. Together they won Minnesota’s hottest new act by popular vote.
The next year Lizzo created her debut album Lizzobangers, which her Minnesota fans loved. Then later that summer Lizzo released a single called “Let ‘Em Say” which was made to benefit the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota. It was a collaboration with Your Smith.
Then, Prince saw The Chalice perform on TV and he invited Lizzo and her band out to Paisley Park to make an appearance on “BOYTROUBLE”, which was a song by his band 3RDEYEGIRL.
Lizzo began to appear on national television in shows like Letterman and Colbert. While she was also making her second album Big Grrrl, Small World. She’s now known around the world, and has moved to LA since 2016, where she continues to be a positive influence to her ever growing audience.
