I’m Parker Flynn, Senior at Minnetonka High School and I’m in the VANTAGE Digital Journalism (DJ) strand. I’ve been at Minnetonka for two years now and it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions. I was previously living in Texas when I moved to Minnetonka. I originally took this VANTAGE course because it was intended to be a resume booster, but quickly realized it’s much more than that. VANTAGE helps each student prepare for the real world with thoughtful and strategic planning and providing us with professional mentors to guide us in our journey.
It’s important to be in the loop for news going on around your community or the world. It is ten times more important that the information gets to the people so they also know what is happening. This is why I chose to be in the DJ strand. To learn the skills you need to have to distribute valid, unbiased information to the people. I pride myself on being coachable, hard-working, and valuable. I love to play and watch soccer. I love to work out and hang out with my friends whenever I possibly can.
