Hi my name is James Geurkink, a student at Minnetonka High School and a part of VANTAGE Digital Journalism. I’ve been a part of Minnetonka Public Schools ever since first grade, learning new things and meeting new people. My skills and values help me in the VANTAGE program by teaching me how to be more responsible, disciplined, and more attentive to detail. I chose this course to get more involved in real world experiences and create connections.
Some of my activities include playing for the Minnetonka Football team at school. I also enjoy spending time with family, and friends out in nature, experiencing new things. Some of my values and goals include, pushing yourself to be the best possible version of yourself by leaving nothing on the table and giving it your all in sports, and in life.
