Miles Laskin, Writer
I’m Miles Laskin, a Junior at Minnetonka High School taking the Multimedia Communications VANTAGE strand. I chose to take this course to learn more about how journalism could affect my future career through the Digital Journalism class. I aim to explore the professional world and learn how different work environments operate. I’m interested in a variety of activities including baseball and basketball. I also enjoy watching movies and TV shows and am interested in the process of how they’re created. I hope to learn some of this through the Video Production aspect of this VANTAGE strand.
Andrew Debrey, Writer
I am Andrew Debrey, VANTAGE student at Minnetonka’s High Schools multimedia communication strand. I’ve been a student in the Minnetonka district my whole life and I enjoy it here. I participate in Track, basketball and baseball at the high school. I like the wide variety of classes that Minnetonka has to offer including VANTAGE. The reason I chose multimedia communications is to explore a wide range of real world scenarios that I don’t get to with just traditional classes. I get to use my passion of making videos in a more professional manner, which is something I can’t wait to do!
Nathan Fine, Writer
I’m Nathan Fine, a junior at Minnetonka High School taking the VANTAGE Multimedia Communications strand. I was interested in this class because I like taking pictures and videos, in addition to that I’m interested in learning how to tell a story through video. I was also excited about the idea of making videos for sports because I love watching and playing sports. Outside of school, I enjoy playing baseball and hanging out with friends. I’m also involved in many Jewish activities. Some of these include being the president of Minnetonka JSU and the president of the youth group at my synagogue.
Griffin Allred, Writer
I am Griffin Allred and I am in the multimedia and communications strand for VANTAGE. After I was told about this strand by one of my friends and looked into it, I knew I had to try it. One of the things I’m most excited for is to get real world experiences and get to learn digital videography and journalism. I would say I’m someone who loves to be surrounded by my friends and family. I love playing sports such as, basketball, baseball and track and messing around with other ones too, again I like doing those with my friends. Spending my whole life at Minnetonka has been an awesome experience and I can’t imagine having it any other way.
