Welcome to Lake Minnetonka Lore. I’m your host, Maxwell Kelley, an avid sailor and frequent lake-goer. I have been around Lake Minnetonka constantly since I moved to Minnesota almost ten years ago, and I’ve developed a great deal of curiosity about its past. What really piqued my interest was seeing old photos and drawings of the area. The old Lake Minnetonka I see placed in picture frames and hung upon walls seems so foreign when compared to the one I see every day that I have trouble believing they’re the same place. Listen along as I learn about the circumstances that lead to Lake Minnetonka becoming the place it is today, and the industries that made it their home.

I am a Junior at Minnetonka High School and I’m taking VANTAGE Multimedia Communications to develop both my writing and videography skills. The professionalism aspect of this course was also attractive to me. I look forward to getting to peek behind the curtain of the media industry this year. Outside of school I enjoy sailing with the Minnetonka High School Sailing Team. Some of my favorite video-makers/writers are John Green, Jacob Geller, John Wilson from How To with John Wilson, and Andrew Callaghan from Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan.
